Hey there, I'm Patty Lacrete, a first-generation herb farmer based in Atlanta, Georgia. My mission is to promote food equity in my community by providing access to fresh, organically grown medicinal herbs and produce through Bed Head Plant Nursery.
I started dreaming of owning my own plant nursery business back in 2020 when I was feeling pretty stuck in my dead-end tech job. I wanted to put my gardening skills to good use as a land steward, so I decided to take a leap of faith and quit my job to study Agriculture Science.
I learned everything from greenhouse management to permaculture design and ecological landscaping and even tried my hand at fundraising. Thanks to the help of complete strangers, hilarious friends, and organizations like the Food Well Alliance, I was able to raise over $10,000 to launch my greenhouse build.
It's an honor and a pleasure to offer freshly grown medicinal herbs and plant starts to my customers. I'm dedicated to providing high-quality, organically grown herbs that support their health and wellbeing. Thank you for helping me turn my dream into a reality!
